Earth Point
Hi Everyone,
Can anyone tell me where the earth point is for the instrument cluster on 2009 D3 please?
Cheers

I think there is more than one earth point depending specifically on what you are looking for.

Thanks PROFSR G very much appreciated.
Yes there are many earth points, am still trying to rule out all possible causes of IC problems before looking to send it away for repair.
I will eliminate an earthing problem that could cause momentary power loss, then see if I can see anything on the scope.
Cheers

I’ve been told that if you bang the top of the cluster when it plays up, and this temp fixes it, then it’s a sure sign your cluster is goosed. Perhaps you can put the scope on it and bang the cluster top to see if you get anything?012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

There is 64f2638f20 processor on IC board and dry soldering on it is common issue. While processor loosing contact IC immediately going completely OFF, only IMMO led blinking😉 Normally resoldering it by hot air soldering gun fix issue.

Hi Kazik13
Thank you for your reply, I have located the processor via another post so when I take the IC out I will see what I can do.
Thank you for your input it has given me another avenue to fix this problem.
Cheers
