Lowering overnight - No leak - Pull Fuse & it holds properly
I'm trying to figure out what could be causing my LR3 to lower dramatically overnight (sometimes down 4-5").
I suspected a leak of course so began pulling fuse 26 to shutoff the auto leveling....but when I do this, it doesn't lower at all overnight or a couple days. So this seems to tell me that the computer is lowering it over and over to try and re-balance...but shouldn't be.
Any ideas?

Pulling the fuse just stops the valves from opening. If the ground is not level the system will self adjust to level the car out. If that is not the case then one of the height sensors may be faulty.

A leak in the reservoir or any of the valves other than the blocks dealing with the 'corners' won't lower the car when you pull the fuse.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

If without the fuse it keeps ride height, should be a worn height sensor that give it false indication during periodic self leveling.
A good diagnose tool could show You an "out of scale" indication on a corner sensor - Easy-Lift suspension module 4.0

I have a similar problem with it lowering overnight. My indy has recorded a sensor fault and showed me the offending unit whilst D3 was on the ramp. Just then as he was showing me this sensor he noticed that one of the three wires going into the sensor was broken. Waiting for new plug to arrive which will be spliced in to existing wires. Hopefully this is the problem and may not need a new sensor.2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE

Typical!! A new sensor was needed. The old one was fairly well corroded. So my indy fitted new one complete with new plug.
Could have been worse, it could have needed a new airbag. 2007 Disco3 2.7 tdv6 SE
