Drivers door actuator / door sensor

I have a 2008 lr3 RHD.

For the last few months I’ve been having occasional symptoms of actuator issues, the door not locking when the fob is pressed or not unlocking when locked. I know these are actuator symptoms as I’ve had 2 other door do the same and swapped the actuator and it solved the problem.

However now when the door is closed the dash is saying the door is open and the interior lights stay on. This happens all the the time even when driving. The issue is it won’t lock and set the alarm as when I press the fob the car thinks the door is open and sounds the horn. I’ve been pressing the locking button inside then closing the door, which locks all doors, I know the alarm won’t be set but it’s locled.

My question is if I swap the actuator will it solve the issue? Is the door close sensor in the locking actuator mechanism?

Thanks.

Change it ASAP, if it locks and does not unlock you will have a major job as the only way to open the door once it will not unlock is to take the seat out, not an easy job with the door locked and then destroy the door card to gain access Big Cry
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
