Another split charge post
Evening
Looking into split charge systems and lots of searching on here that has just melted my mind. I see people have fitted T max kits. But also people saying you can only use the traxide kit due to the smart alternator . So my question is will a simple system like the t max be ok ? Or any clarification as to why it’s not suitable ?
Any help is much appreciated

Hi
Fitted a T max split charge system to mine and has been fine
Ref the traxide setup , I wonder if that’s used for the D4 ??
Also charge both batteries using a CTEK via my 12s socket
Hope that helps

I have the National Luna system fitted to my D3, without any issues. Been fitted for years now.

I fitted a traxide unit to my D3 about 20months ago, excellent system made in OZ.
I went away for 2 weeks and expected a flat battery but the traxide saw both batteries linked thus sharing capacity which keeps the main battery in good health.
