My D3 is now at 311600 with all the transmission, bar the rear prop, being original. Had all the usual servicing on time, every time. I have an second transmission oil cooler as I tow most of the time. Just recently, when towing fully laden and when hot,I am getting a vibration, at times almost a judder. It only occurs with the trailer on when loaded , never when the Disco is running alone. It is not wheel balance, I've had the D3 and the trailer tyres balanced. The brakes and all of the shafts are fine. No noise ,grinding or whining. Usually happens around 60 mph , flooring the pedal or slowing down tends to clear it.The gearbox changes up and down as it should. I'm wondering if it needs a gearbox oil change? Or is it an indicator of a failing torque converter?
Anyone else experienced this? 2011 D4 HSE, it'll be nice if it ever works!

As it seems load related I would have a look at the rubber around the centre bearing on the tail shaft

As a follow up I managed to clear this fault without intending to. I've just carried out Papa Zulu's annual big service. As part of this I fitted another set of discs and pads. The NSF caliper was a little harder to retract one of the pistons compared to the other side. Nothing much but noticeable. I had a new caliper to hand so I changed it out. Great brakes of course.. but the vibration was gone. Can a slight, ever so slight , drag mess with the rest of the transmission? You know, I think it can. 2011 D4 HSE, it'll be nice if it ever works!

I had a rear inner drive shaft cv that vibrated only when towing so in my head a sticky caliper could put a load on the drive line and show up another fault
