Rear suspension arm replacement

I shall be tackling this next weekend so seeing if anyone has any tips!

Failed the mot both sides so have them to do, whilst in there I’m going to do the ARB doofers as well.

Also got the front ns cv boot to do as well if anyone has any tips for that?

On the rear uppers the wheel end bush is not part of the arm.

You'll need a 4 wheel alignment too. Wink
Uppers are seriously tricky, not really a driveway, home mechanics job worth tackling IMHO, much better access with a post lift but it's do-able without.
Good luck, I think you're going to need it. Thumbs Up

From memory, you need to split the brake lines on the rear uppers and bleed brakes afterwards.

Ah yes the joys of doing the upper arms

Plus 1 what’s been mentioned , If I may add please don’t forget the brake hoses inc the short copper pipe , I also replaced the drop links with meyle HD ones at the same time

Good luck and need plenty of patience , along with a grinder or recip saw if the bolts are seized

Ps, Did buy a bush kit for the top knuckle bushes , made life easier

Indeed ur right , when I tried to undo my hoses everything was seized solid, undone the top joint where the hose connects to the copper pipe and that twisted as well , so had to cut it off and redo a new flare

all good fun Whistle
