Suspension failure
Hi there
Appreciate this topic is spoken about quite a bit so I'll keep it short. I have a 2007 D3 Metropolis that has a red suspension fault light when I first put the key in, if I turn off and try again it disappears.
It's been plugged into code reader and im told it requires a new ride height control module....the garage obtained a second hand unit to try but couldn't program it as they are vin specific.
So, two things do you believe it could be ride height module? The code says lost Comms with it....
If so, does anyone have any contacts to get it cheaper than the £400+ it's listed at??
Due to go to Cornwall next weekend 😕
Cheers

Hi, yes they are an independent landrover specialist and I believe it's an autologic piece of equipment.

Hi all
Ok, so I've gone ahead and had the ride height module replaced and the red warning light on start up has gone.......small win.
Unfortunately now when driving im getting an amber light with code c1a24 - no temperature increase when compressor requested.
So, what does that mean? Is it an easy repair or new pump??
Only small issue, im meant to be going to Cornwall on Saturday.......
Any advise would be great.

Lost communication errors are a "dime a dozen" in these cars - any little momentary interruption in comms and these come up - these are not a an issue unless they continue to reoccur which they usually do not. Often this code is a secondary code as a result of a failure elsewhere.
Clear the codes, restart hte car am 90% of the time the fault will be gone. It may not of course but is unlikey to be the problem but could be.
Get the codes read by someone with a proper code reader. I would expect that when the codes are read you will have a common suspension fault code displayed as well as others.
