Amber suspension light and codes |
|
Hi All,
The amber suspension light came on yesterday with the 'normal height only' message on my 2005 D3
I've not had any previous problems in the two years I've owned the D3 other than noticing that the front seems to raise fractionally slower than the rear, but the car has not been sinking at all when left in normal or off road height for any period of time.
I've checked the codes and have C1A20 Pressure increases to slowly when filling reservoir and C1A10 Pressure fluctuates when the system is inactive.
I understand from much reading on here that C1A20 can be the compressor failing but I've also noticed in the live data reading that the Gallery pressure reaches about 150psi which I think maybe low and rapidly drops to about 13psi when the engine is turned off.
Is this drop in gallery pressure normal or should it maintain pressure?
The compressor does run when the fault codes are cleared but turns itself off after a while and back to the amber light, and the car does give the 'Disco Fart' and lowers slightly a minute or so after turning off so I'm assuming the compressor exhaust is working.
I guess I'm asking do I have a leak if the gallery pressure shouldn't drop as well as a possible failing compressor?
Any thought much appreciated!

Any hissing underneath your passenger doors
Your air tank may be on its last leg, I had that code and the tank was toast

Thanks Sea Raider. Not that I can tell but my hearings not the best and I haven't had chance to do the soapy water test yet. It does look a bit crusty on the ends though!
