Detachable tow bar help.

I've read various posts on the towbar and how to remove it etc. Now, my issue is that the shaft that the green thing goes on it has also been removed from the towbar itself, can I buy a replacement shaft and lock or how the hell do I get this towbar off? Bought the car yesterday and I've bashed my shins on it twice already and I never tow anything anyway so it needs to come off.

Get under the car, and push the locking pin towards the rear (with a big screwdriver or something), the tow bar might drop on you!

Try wacking the tow bar left and right as well it's probably seized in and push the pin back into the tow bar from underneath. Theres a cutout in the chassis that the locking pin fires into as its spring loaded so will be stiff to push back in. Watch your face as it will drop out as well and its heavy!!

You will find access to the said pin if you drop the spare wheel if you have one,
