Radio Comes on as soon as its unlocked

Hi All
I noticed yesterday (and its continued today) that as soon as I unlock my car by the key fob the radio comes on, on its own

Is that normal or a setting that can be configured? It only used to come on once the ignition was turned on.

The only thing that's changed recently is an update for heated seats on the CCF and the battery was disconnected whilst the cambelts were done.

If the radio was on when you turned the car off, it'll be on when you start it. If you turn the radio off when you stop, it'll be off when you start

Sorry i may not have been clear. The radio is on before i even open the door and get in! Its like its now activated by pressing the unlock button. It never used to operate in this way though. It would do like you suggest and power up as per last status only once the ignition was turned on.

Mine lights up when I unlock it but doesn't actually start playing until I turn the ignition on

That’s what mine used to do... it still lights up but weirdly starts playing but found that stops after about 5-10 secs!

Will try the hard reset as soon as I can! Thanks for the advice👍
