Several electrical issues at once

Hi everyone,

Last three four weeks have been messy with LR3. Started to get random warnings. In the beginning, after replacing tyres, in a week got tire pressure monitoring system fault message, even though tire pressure is fine. I ignored that one as its not connected to driving and postponed repair. Later I got front parking sensor not working message which in the beginning was going off after turning it on and off for several times, but now just stays off with flashing parking sensor button. And on top of all these, recently front passenger door starting behaving strangely. It used to lock/unlock perfectly, but recently i can lock it both manually and by remote, however it shows that the door is open. I played with lock system on the door, tried to clean a bit and it helped for some time. But now, its not working anymore and only way to lock the car safely is to lock it from inside, turn off light and then lock with remote, otherwise the light stays on forever and says the door is open. The same system when driving, need to turn off light manually.

Any advice would be appreciated. Have had Disco 2 for seven years and just moved to LR3. The first six months have been flawless and now everything started together.

Kinda sounds normal to be honest. Sad

Common things failing.

You can turn the lights off for good by holding the light button in for 5 seconds.

Can I throw into this as well.

Despite my lack of experience with all this, is it worth asking about water ingress, particularly in passanger foot well?

LTB00217 talks of strange electrical faults in relation to LA501-006 and the issue with A pillar trim and clips.

But then any of the water ingress issues could affect the countless electrical components and wiring looms under there.

Worth thinking about perhaps?

Andy
