Had a breakdown tonight. 2008 D3 HSE.
Been going well of late, but died after trying to restart after a fairly long run.
Had a few warning lights earlier in the day, just random stuff.
Anyhow, all the symptoms of a flat battery.
Was able to power walk home, and bring the battery from the S2 and she started perfectly.
Question is, if this was a charging/alternator problem would I expect to see a charge warning?
Cant' tell the age of the battery, and can't see any obvious date code. It's a Varta G3 12V 95Ah 800A
I've got the battery on charge, but any words of wisdom before I order a new one?
