Hi All,
Looking for some initial guidance on some faults I have coming up. I have the following faults and the car won’t start: -
Transmission fault-traction reduced
System fault-special program not available
Parking brake fault
The engine management light is also on. I am working away so can’t read the fault codes. It’s a 2006 manual btw.
I am hoping it is just a battery issue

Sounds very much like a battery fault, get it checked out and also the alternator as well.

I had already bitten the bullet and ordered a new battery anyway as it is a good few years old now.
How would one go about checking the alternator?
