HDR fault system not available

Hi all. I have a HDR fault with a green off road symbol and a few others in orange the suspension has bottomed out too. I get the "HDR fault system not available" message. I left her in the airport for about 5 days which is unusual as I normally drive it every day but it got home OK from the airport yesterday then this happened this morning. When I try clearing the faults (IID tool) it does not have any HDR faults so I assume there is a communications fault. Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong. Thanks

If its happened after leaving the car for 5 days, I would give the battery a boost to see if that sorts it out.

When I leave mine for a few days I always press the remote twice to shut off the internal alarm functions, to save a little of the battery and not been let down yet.

I tried that but it didn't work:( I even bought a new battery and charged it to 13V ish).
I noticed that the HDC seems to be working (has power) as it raises the car then drops it.
This also happens if I clear all faults even through the HDC ECU is not there, maybe it does a power cycle.
Could it be a wiring issue?

HDC is Hill Decent Control.

It's the Yellow button on the console

A green icon appears on the dash of a LR going downhill.

At the top of the hill (on a tricky loose surface) you press the yellow button, take your foot off all the pedals and the car does all the braking and acceleration for you.

Apparently you can see the cruise buttons to speed it up too.

Not to be confused the the green Icon showing Low Ratio Laughing

So this has nothing to do with the suspension height going up and down

Sorry I should have been more specific (HDC was the first fault coming up).
Here is what was happening:

- HDC Fault SYSTEM not Available
- Suspension lowering
- Special Programs not available
- Handbrake switches on as soon as the car is in N or P
- Car is stuck in low gear (and that is the worst of it all)

(I got this from another post: https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/hdc-fault-s...vailable).

Turned out to be the battery voltage.
I got a new battery but that did not help (initially).
Sea rider was right! But what it needed was a charge for a few hours and then all the issues went away.
Maybe I wasted some money on a new battery but it was 3 years old anyway.

Does anyone know the voltage required to prevent this issue?

Thanks

Another thing I found when looking for battery drain was that the Cubby box fridge does not switch itself off when the ignition is off, I had my battery checked a few times by different places before finding that it was down to the fridge remaining on when the motor was left.
You don't have a fridge, do you?
I think it eventually powers down when it detects low voltage but usually by this time its too late.
Its what I found anyway.

Thanks Sea Rider.
The strange thing was the car was fine when I picked it up from the airport.
It was the following day that it failed.....strange car but I love it!

Did you check battery charging?
Is it >14V?

Yeh coming up as 14.0-14.1 on IIS tool when driving.
The strange thing was it was 15V ish when it had the probelm / before I charged it.
Possibly the system trying to give it a boost?

That is fine.
15V charging is normal for first start and dropping to 14-14.5 when driving.

Do you remember fault codes what you had there?

No Sorry but that was the thing there were no fault codes as the ECUs were not there (I think).
For example there was no suspension fault (which I've seen before) even though the light was on?
I could have something wrong there.

If the ECUs reset or drop out because of low voltage, they may have detected a fault code, but because they haven't had the ability to shut down correctly (resetting) they wont have stored the codes.
