D4 GLOWWORM HEADLIGHTS
The halogen headlights on my 2014 D4 are probably the worse headlights I've had on any vehicle since the early 1980s - how they passed quality control is a complete mystery.
Having ruled out xenon replacements at £1k I thought Id give the osram laser nightbreakers a try, I ordered some and having removed the headlight have found the H7 ones I ordered as per osrams fitment wizard are completely the wrong type Anyone got a definitive answer to what I need?

My 2013 registration one with halogens has H7 bulbs, my 2014 one is Xenon, so cannot help on that one sorry.
You sure they do not just need aligning correctly as I have no issues with my halogens?Discovery commercial tdv6 auto 2013

I was going to do the same before I changed mine to xenons, 2014 model.
The handbook is incorrect as the halogen headlamp bulbs for this MY have a 90degree fitting which is part of the bulb. Bloody infuriating as everywhere lists them as the standard push in bulb.

Hi, went through the same process on my late 2014 D4, the bulbs were an odd HIR2 size, upgrades for which are very limited option wise in the UK, why LR put in an odd bulb to the mix is beyond me. Hope this helps.
Amazing that LR are still selling premium cars with halogen headlamps. Dark ages, literally. I;d never go back. My latest car has matrix LEDs, stunning ____

You need HIR2 bulbs also known as 9012 bulb. Rare bulb, so virtually no upgrade options available. Better to save up your pennies for a xenon headlamp retrofit.

or for a good LED bulb KIT. Just done it on a mate's D4 and the results was very very good. good pattern and output like Xenon or may be better
I also have a LED KIT on my highbeam (mine is MY2011 D4 HSE Lux with bi-xenon) and I'm very happy with itDiscovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Any link to good H7 (LED or conventional) high beam bulbs? Mine send most of the light up into the trees and naff all forward. I'm assuming that, as it's one unit, if I pull the high beam down it will also pull down dipped beam, which are fine.

I'd simply be happy to have the headlights off my 54 reg D2, or oven my 10 year old transit van, both of which are far and away superior!
BTW heres a picture of one of the glowworms.

Do you have a link to the led bulbs you used? I've heard some of the LED replacements produce alot of light but not well focused.

have a good search on here for LostForWords views on why LEDs look bright but aren't particularly good for improving the lit area ... very well written.
