Prospeed Rock Sliders - Now Fitted!
Hi all,
Wanting to pull the trigger on a fully SWMBO authorised Rock Slider purchase (I know amazing! ), but the costs are as you can imagine a little high.
Anyway, I'm after the sliders and possibly the inserts, so wandering if anybody has any pics of them fitted (Ideally Black Disco, but any will do) to see what they look like in real life with the inserts on (SWMBO wants inserts)
Any feedback on the inserts, how are the faring up to daily usage etc? are they 'non slip' etc
Cheers Iggy/Ieuan

I've had the inserts since they became available. They do the job and look great. I've not managed to damage them yet even though the sliders do get put to the test.
The only irritation is that with the holes filled in, mud and snow thrown up from the front wheel can pile up on top.

Yes I have been reading Robbie's guide this morning and have just ordered the spray ready for 'Fitting day' on Saturday, I have a load lugga and a few other things to add also
It's an excellent guide, but least you would expect from a guy like Robbie Iggy/Ieuan

Iggy,
since i've just been burnt: while you have the plastic bitss off the sills, take your time and use a cheap usb boroscope. Have a look first, then decide on wax or better oil/grease based rust stop/prevention.
Maybe clean put the sills with pressure water, but that is disputable, since many say you won't get it dry properly. I say better clean , since moist dirt is worse than clean water that might be displaced by proper thin oilbased prodict.
