2.7 TDV6 timing belt change - any oil seals to replace? |
|
I noticed that neither the front (LR016655) or rear (LR019115) timing belt kits for the 2.7 TDV6 include any oil seals to be replaced. They're individual parts also don't seem to be listed in the Timing Belt Parts Associated Bits sticky thread <https>.
Are these therefore not replaced when doing the timing belt?
If they are, which engine oil seals are required? I assume front crankshaft oil seal (1102415) and ... ?
I notice that Dayco (who I have read are the OEM supplier of the timing belt to Land Rover) include KS135 seal kit consisting of four seals in their front timing belt kit and KS143 seal kit consisting of 1 seal in their rear timing belt kit.

I would only replace if they were leaking.
It would be difficult to replace the rear one and it could easily get damaged and leak.
