Electrical Diodes
Hi, is anyone on here clued up about diodes. Need to work out what one I need to protect reverse circuit to a relay.

Please expand? What would the relay be switching to be at risk of being reverse powered and what side of the relay.Sill protection - LED internal lights - LED reverse lights - boot liner - Dog Guard - Rock sliders
A lot of relay coils have resistors or diodes across them to reduce the back emf generated when the relay is switched off. I've seen upto 148V on a 12v system when there was only a resistor across the coil.
I think you're looking to stop voltage going back down a circuit for lighting possibly when switched on? What circuit, what component and what current are you looking at drawing?1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8
