Alarm not setting and going off
Our Disco 3's alarm has decided to start going off shortly after been set.
This has meant when in our own drive we leave it unlocked until it locks it self due to timing out unlocked without keys on ingnition.
Bit of a mystery - but the main battery was flat the other day and had to be charged up. Also not sure the state of the key fob battery
Any pointers ??

hi
believe from reading on here the bonnet catch seems to be one of the major culprits
the keyfob is inductive charging , which is charged every time u insert the key into the ign , if u have multiple keys it's a good idea to alternate them in order u keep them charged
ur battery standing should get 12.7Vdc and with the engine running 14.7 Vdc

Hi, I had same problem on Range Rover sport some time ago and it turned out to be the bonnet latch switch, located on the left side slam panel ( as open bonnet) I think this works but might be wrong, disconnect the sensor switch on the latch and see if alarm sets as normal, if does it's faulty switch.2015MY discovery 4 se tech with factory black pack.
With added
Rse, tv, electric memory seats, rear camera, heated steering wheel,
Headlight dip assist, remote FBH, led door light pack, easy lift kit, osram front fog/drl/active cornering lights. and whatever els I can find to do,

I had a similar issue. Alarm would go off anywhere between 15 minutes to an hour after alarming. It was the bonnet switch. I've just bridged the connections for now (unplug from drivers side bonnet latch & bridge connectioned with a peice of wire - paper clip etc & tape up). New latch is next thing to sort.

Hi
That figures as I've had to really slam the bonnet some times as the lever latches are stiff and I've had to free them up a few times (over our ownership) with WD40
