| EPB Vibration and Defective OEM Rotors |

I had the dreaded high speed shake related to the EPB over the weekend. I just had brand new OEM rotors and pads put on and the shop adjusted and bedded the EPB according to Bodsy's Brake Bible, so I took it back in, figuring the adjustment wasn't quite right.
Apparently, they think the OEM rotors have a defect inside the drum. They said they can see 5 or 6 hot spots where the brake shoe was rubbing.
So, Occam's Razor in mind, I'm a bit doubtful.
Has anyone determined what actually causes the vibration when the pads are dragging? Obviously things heat up--is the rotor warping? Is it the pads catching and releasing?
