Drivers door glass
Hi
Well was just about to replace my ATF oil, closed my drivers door, clunk, glass dropped
So after removing the door card both glass white clips were broke , speaker wasn’t even screwed in properly ,clips and other screws missing , so will have to find out what the speaker screws are
So managed to get the glass closed , taped the window and put a piece of wood under the glass to stop it dropping
Looks like I’ll have to buy a new bit of glass, however I can’t see how u get the glass out, because of the surrounding trim
Wondering if anyone has done there glass recently please and any tips of how to remove it
Many thks as always

Oh well your well practiced at this.
Normally on other cars you remove the horizontal seal on the inside and outside.
This gives you a big gap to lift it up and out.
I guess you may also need to remove the vertical at the back of the door, but probably not. As it will come out at an angle
didn't someone on here recently remove door card to find window propped up with wood ? you could see how they got on..

HI there are some torx screws holding the window motor to the black frame take those out and remove the motor ,then there are 5 10mm or 8mm bolts holding the black oblong frame to the door skin undo these and push to release the water tight seal then turn and wiggle out and you have access to the iner door. ..re fit glass down thru the window seals... i have glass window as well

Think that was me
I removed the door card, then both the trims at the top of the door-inner and outer.
Outer has 2 torx, one at the very end of the door (towards the rear of the car) and one at the very front. You then gently prise the trim out. Be careful, it will bend, but a little bent is OK, as when you push it backk in and scre down, its all straight again.
The inner trim then just pulls off. Again be gently!
To remove the glass (assuming its free from the regualtor), you tilt the front of the glass forwards and down, and lift out. Its pretty easy.
To make it even easier, remove the front door guide, which is a small (6 or 7mm?) bolt from the inner door, just in front of the speaker.

Mr gstuart is correct I think with those clips.
Mine were all snapped too, so I looked for clips, but in the end I bought a new glass, as mine was scratched.
While the OEM glass comes withe white clips, my glass, which is not OEM (no OEM were available at the time) came with black clips, just like those in the link above
New glass was £59.99 from Britpart.

Oh and if you do buy those clips, make sure you retain the screws that will be in your old ones.
It doesnt look like they come with the clips.

Bless u for the info
I’ll have a look at britpart , was that through , Brit car plse , think I’ll get the bit of glass out first to double check it’s all ok and clips match up
Looks as though the front and back door glass clips are different
Thks again

Just quickly , may i ask a daft question plse
Noticed in the following picture the door handle looks as though it’s secured to the door frame and not to the door card
However when I removed the door card the handle wouldn’t come out of the door card , is it suppose to come out please, will just make life easier if it’s not attached to the card
Plus the front glass guide looked bent/ broken , so hopefully can buy just the guides ???
