that was one of my fears with my 2017 Tiguan I had last year. That also had the amazing Matrix LED headlights that if i had a ''minor'' non structural front end accident the car could be written off just for the cost of the headlights and a radar

These lights are certainly going to make the cars early write-off candidates when they enter the second and third hand markets. That, and candidates for insurance premium hikes once people start nicking lights to facilitate repairs...

I was told that for my late 2009 T5 it was cheaper to buy an aftermarket sports exhaust than it was to get a new standard one. Luckily it was just surface rust and back box outer casing corrosion so not blowing. I just left it as it was until I sold it.
