Hi guys I'm new to this forum and indeed to Land Rover ownership and have recently purchased my first disco3, I seem to have a problem with the stereo which is intermittent and puzzled the previous owner and his local Land Rover dealership. When you turn the ignition on the stereo comes on and stays on but the sound comes on and off and that's wether you are listing to radio, cds or aux. Any ideas?

It would help immensely if you filled out your profile to include which vehicle you have.

Hi all, I have a similar problem with my stereo making a clicking sound like a static/electrical discharge it gets worse as i accelerate the car and the further i travel, it affects the sat/nav,radio and epb turning it on and off its driving me mad. By the way everything works as i should when the car is stationery.
Any help would be appreciated.

Seems the stereos in these are a bit troublesome. Gladly not as bad as you guys but the screen on mine doesn't light up sometimes. If you push the front of the stereo near the screen the green light will come on. As soon as you take your finger away the light goes off.
Are the stereos interchangeable? If you get like for like. I heard they're linked with the ecu or something?
