Voice Command

I have asked about this before but I am not convinced I dont have voice command.

I have an 08 SE and I have a button on the left hand side of my steering wheel that does nothing!!! I had voice on my FFRR and hardly used it and probably won't use this much but it is so annoying having a button that does not work.

My phone connects via bluetooth using 2121 and works fine, so I have a mic and output via the car speakers.

What do I need to get this working? Can I buy a module and get the CCF changed or do I just take the button and bin it!!!

From a demented Scotsman!!! Big Cry

You will Proberly have just voice control for the phone .

I presume you don't have any 4x4 info screen on the touch screen .

You can change the CCF file to get full voice control with a faultmate .

Try pulling the voice control button and saying "phone dial number "

Hi Wiggs,

We spoke on the phone and tried a couple of things the last time I had a gripe with this, but as it was still under warranty and going in to the dealer for another problem we opted to get them to check it. They said my car does not have voice and that was it. No point in arguing with the girl at the service desk she might have spoiled her nail pollish!!!!! It just annoys me having the button for it and nothing working so I wondered if I could get bit and get it going. I don't think I have the premium radio (6cd - 465) and don't have the 4 X 4 screen but I believe they can be activated with the faultmate. I am open to suggestions.

Kenny

When you pull the voice button .. Does it say anything ?

Does it show "listening " on the small LCD display on the dash

Very strange ... You would need to plug in a faultmate or similar and see if it's been disabled for some strange reason

Yeah, I definatly think I should have at least the voice command for the phone.

Now I need to meet someone with a Faultmate. I travel to France a few times a year and plan to go again in the next few weeks. I wonder if I could meet up with anyone on the way down or back???? Usual route is M74,M6, M1 or M40, M25, M20 so hopefully I should not be too far from someone. Wiggs are you on the route???
