Bluetooth Handsfree button with Aux input |
|
Hi,
I have a D3 without the phone module and I have been looking around for a solution.
Reading what other people have done I have found this:
dodocool Bluetooth Car Kit with Music Receiver and Microphone Support, Built-in Mic Siri Voice Control
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01GQ3...7URIUKIF17
That (I think) will allow me to access Siri and I can then use voice commands to make calls.
The above plugs in to a USB/cigarette lighter adapter and AUX, but I'm thinking of making it a bit more hidden and permanent.
So I think I'm going to get one of these:
DEOK DC Buck Power Supply Module 12V to 5V Step Down Converter USB Female Output
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IZ8SI08?psc=1
So I can patch into the rear of the cigarette lighter and then cut the end off the AUX cable and patch into the back of the AUX input. I'll then hide all the cables under the centre console and position the button somewhere sensible.
My question is, if I patch into the back of the AUX and I'm using the phone with my Sat Nav app or music and then one of the kids plugs in their iPod as well will that overload the circuit? I realise there will be the overlapping noise of the two music playing together, but my concern is more about the amount of power going into the circuit.
Your thoughts and input are appreciated, thanks.
