Gday All,
Got a fault code P0626 which says Generator field terminal - Circuit High. changed alternators with a second hand unit and got the same issue. Battery light is on and voltage is dropping so no charge.
I find it hard to think 2 alternator could fail with the same issue , so wondered if anyone might be able to point me to things to check.
PS when the second unit was fitted it worked for about 5 minutes and all seemed good, turned the car off and then on restart it showed the battery light not going out.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers Bulletman

thanks for the info I replaced the alternator about two weeks ago as I had the circuit low message and my voltage went right down to 10.5. So I wouldn't think it's the alternator this time, i'm wondering if it's the module?
Also the car has been standing since xmas eve, could it be the battery? This was new 18 mths ago but with the alternator failing before could it be this?
This time I'm getting p0626-00(6c) circuit high?
or is it possible I've fried my new alternator with a flat battery? It's on charge now but only with a 4amp charger so in quite a long time I'll know the answer to that one my06 D3

Charged the battery overnight and the voltage is now sitting at 14.9 when idling my06 D3
