Hi,
Did you find a store to replace some part ?
I am presently looking for Front Rack Bracket because I have bought the same G4 Challenge Rack but without the Front rack bracket.
In an other way, did you try to fix this roof rack system with extanded roof rails as on photo ?
If the rack is to be fitted onto extended roof rails then the front bracket is not used. The "middle" bracket can be moved forward by drilling four holes in the appropriate place.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. Hi navigator,
It sounds good ! I will buy them
Did you try this solution ? Have you take a picture of the looking of the front of the land with this solution ?
Many Thanks
I have fitted my rack to my D4 which came with extended rails.
You will see how the mounting parts fit into the roof rails. The extended rails have an extra fitting position towards the front. Fit the mountings and measure the distance from the rear ones to the front ones and mark out the same distance onto the flange of the rack. Measure the distance across the two front mountings and mark out onto the flange. The rails are closer together at the front than the rear. Punch and drill out holes same size as rear.
Now the awkward bit. Lift the rack into place and locate on the rear mountings. It will not fit onto the front ones yet as the longer rails foul on the main member of the rack. Mark where this happens and take the rack off again and turn it upside down. Place a curved piece of wood on the rack where it is fouling and hit the wood with a lump hammer to put a small dent into the rack so it will clear the rails.
Put it onto the rails again and fit the nuts on the bolts. The rear ones will tighten from above but if you have the floor fitted for the front you will need to slide your hand in sideways.
