I have a droning noise coming from the front. It stops immediately as soon as I lift off. It's mainly audible at 60mph. Any ideas?

Thanks, Maybe I am wrong but I would have thought that the noise would be the same from the wheel bearing regardless of foot on and foot off.
I did check play and there does not seem any. Both were changed about 60k ago so maybe ready if it's them. The car has 154k now so maybe it's the diff.

Snap ! Mine has 154000 on aswell. You are right about the wheel bearing that is why I removed that when i read it again. The front diff would be my favourite as its just what mine did. Hope you get it sorted fella.

I have read though on here that the droning noise starts when people lift off the throttle. Mine is the opposite.

If its the opposite like yours, Im sure i read on here it points to the rear diff then?
I have the same btw and I know the previous owner has replaced the front diff on mine so again points towards the rear pal

If it's the rear diff can I just have the bearings changed?
