Engine replacement/reconditioning advice wanted. |
|
Evening all,
I've just bought an 08 disco 3 with a suspected snapped crankshaft. I've bought it to take the place of my aging disco 2. I'm reluctant to fit a second hand engine, I'm debating about getting a short motor or if its worth fitting a new crank to my engine? where or who is the best to sorce parts from? I'm not sure what state my block is in yet as I'm yet to pull the engine out. I have found a company online that appears to look reputable called NWS? Thanks, Barney

Welcome The_Bay.
Here's what I wrote in another thread:-
Quote:I suggest you search the forum - the answer is very clear:-

Also search for Eurojag who have supplied a number of 2nd hand engines to members of the forum.
Good luck, keep us posted.

Thanks NJSS, thought it best to ask about them. i don't suppose i'll really know until i get the engine out (hopefully in the next couple of weeks, have a few jobs on before the ramp's free)
I'll update when i make any headway.

Cheaper than buying a new car when you have done all the things to it that I have. Thanks Mike
