Thanks Max. Full address is Herr Dean, Camping Hermitage, I 39012 Merano, Via Val Di Nova 29. A local Land Rover adventure company 4 x Tek has agreed to put it in the gearbox for me on Friday morning. Can you send it to arrive Thursday? Let me have the costs and I will sort out payment when I get back to the UK. It really is very kind of you.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575

Dr Tranny now in gearbox. Also noticed slight leak from transfer box so the oil in that has been replaced as well. Only done 10 miles but whole noise of car is much quieter. No sign of a judder. Tomorrow is 60 miles towing with the tin tent on the back. That will be the real test.
A big thank you to Max (Panoramix) in Milan for sending the Dr Tranny. Max that was really, really appreciated. You really went the extra mile (or in your case kilometer)!!
Get in touch if your ever in Liverpool and I'll take you out for a meal.
Also the guy that owns 4xTek in Merano was great to. He charged me €20 to put the Dr Tranny in and refill the transfer box and bought me a cup of tea out of that! Thanks to his mechanic too, a Nigerian guy who couldn't have been more helpful.
Finally, Geoff Davies and Mick (Flack) for hand holding by phone, significantly reducing the likeyhood of cockups and increasing our chances of getting home in the Disco. Thanks guys.
Will update again when done some towing.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575

Hi guys. Quick update. We've made it back to the Channel OK. Only slight residue is a bit of a clunk when the car goes into idle. Otherwise it seems OK. Hope to meet up with Flack and Geoff Davis soon to see what they think and to decide whether it just needs a mega flush or work on the gearbox.
Thanks once again to everyone who help by phone and to Max for sending the Dr Tranny which saved the day and enabled the holiday to continue.2008 D3 HSE Stornoway Grey with Ebony Leather, towing a Coachman VIP 575
