MOT Fail : Handbrake

Hi!

I have a 2005 Disco 3, automatic, just put her in for a MOT, however, she has failed as one of the rear wheels spins when the handbrake is applied.

The garage have told me it could be the cable or the module, however, it's 7 hours labour and looking at around £1000.

I am going to take the car back tomorrow and investigate myself.

Been searching this forum, but, can anyone give me any advice that may help me?

many thanks

simon

Could be the pull arm pivot on the shoe itself partially seized.
