Gas pistons

Yesterday heard a lound noise and the tailgate would not stay open

It seems like the right gas piston is seized and when I tried to close the tailgate it snapped out from the support and also partially unscrew it but it seems that nothing is really broken

Has this happened to anybody?
Do you know which part number should I order for that? Is it easy to change it?

I suspect it is not seized but the gas pressure that you cannot overcome, this is normal.
As for the bolt/stud coming undone, that is the actual problem and a well documented one on D3's. I believe a repair panel is available as the captive nut has probably got a stripped thread, however many have done things with a nut a blue tack, do a search and you will find loads of info.

Easy to change if the nut behind the tole has not disappeared. If it has you can find a description of how to use a coat hanger trying to marry the bolt with the nut.

A well documented failure. Here are a couple of links to go and read all about it.
