Decided to remove the side mouldings from the doors yesterday, as two were ropey and one had started to lift.
What a mistakea to makea!
Came off fine, but getting the remaining glue off, what a nightmare! Started at about 7pm last night, thinking an hour or two at most should do, came in at 11:30pm with the front passenger door still left!
And it's black, so wasn't difficult to disguise at all So far - 4X4 Info~3 Flash Indicators~2 Video inputs~Bluetooth Music~Dr-T~Fridge~Phone Update~SatNav on the move~Clock on Dash~Black in and out~Window Tints

I have been looking at mine thinking they needed to come off!
The paint was spot on..... Until my hap hazard glue removal prosses took over!
If I were to do it again, which I would, I'd spend more time warming the mouldings BEFORE attempting to remove. This would ensure the glue/foam backing would come away with the mouldings. Unlike mine where only about 60% of it came off. Getting the residue off after is an absolute mare.
Long story short, drivers side will be ok after a damn good tcut and polish, passenger side will be treated to a blow over and re lacquer as I lost my rag with it and it went a bit wrong
Hope this helps! IMO I think it looks better without (even with the blemish)
This is what happens when you it up
Good luck So far - 4X4 Info~3 Flash Indicators~2 Video inputs~Bluetooth Music~Dr-T~Fridge~Phone Update~SatNav on the move~Clock on Dash~Black in and out~Window Tints
