Recently noticed my disco's gearbox clunking/thumping when dropping down probably 3rd to 2nd or maybe 2nd to 1st as only happens at low speed. Doesn't seem to do it all the time & didn't notice it when car was cold but more so after driving for a while.
I remember having BMW years ago that had a similar issue & it was a synchromesh in the gearbox.
Anyone else had this issue & can maybe shed some light on it ? (I've had Landie a while now & covered 128k & well serviced but not sure if gearbox oil has ever been changed)
