Hi
Going to get round to doing this over the next few weekends. How much do I need to to all the plastics? Bumpers, arches, trims along the doors incl rear and the scuttle panel?

You'll probably be wasting very expensive fluid trying to revitalise the scuttle panel.
Many people have tried and failed to rejuvenate that thing. Best and only option is to replace it. 
I seem to remember LR made it from UV intolerant plastic. Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.

Last Sunday....30 ml does all the black stuff
Door Handles
Wheel arches
Bumpers front & back (a big area)
the shark fin thing on the roof
boot handle
the lower door valances the windscreen trims (each side)
the from below screen scuttle...the whole thing with bonnet lifted
the roof rack bars
....you have to be very careful how you use it with the cotton pads provided
the way Ive done mine is to:
wash the car...
dry it off with some old terry towelling...
then clean the black trim with meths or sone safety solvent to remove any grease
put a few drops on the pad & spread it as far as you can....you get the technique after a few mins
30 mils worked for me - in two 15 ml bottles...(all they had)
last time I did it well over 12 months ago had a 30ml bottle that seemed to go further
is it worth it YES
does it last YES...
have I tried other things YES except peanut butter & snake oil

I use the AutoGlym gel - I find it a good compromise between cost and longevity and it's easy to apply. Regarding the scuttle, I replaced mine when I had the screen done - well worth it
