Hi all, I've read through loads of the forums regarding seized engines on disco 3s. Unfortunately my dads has gone the same way as many others, was just wondering what the best route to go down is, new engine, recon, second hand? Obviously cost is a factor as the car is an 07 so probably not worth investing too much money. Luckily we have the ability to carry out an engine swap ourselves so that will hopefully save a few quid!
Any help on the matter would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Pete.

If it's the oil pump failure on a 2.7 and has full service history it's worth contacting landrover customer services, whilst they won't accept there is an issue they will review each failure on its own merits and may contribute toward replacement

Always been serviced by ourselves so I doubt Land Rover will have anything to do with it. Thanks for the reply though.

A good second hand engine then, not heard of any good experiences with reconditioned engines but some one maybe along shortly who has a first hand experience
