2016 heated steering wheel

It never goes totally smoothly does it.........

I ordered a heated steering wheel with my new car, didn't notice till halfway up the road that it hasn't been fitted even though it is on the order form. The salesman is trying his hardest to be helpful, but isn't sure what needs doing to fit a heated wheel to a 2016 car.

So simple question....... Does it need a new clock spring or not? Does it need enabling or would it just work? Is there anything else that needs doing (apart from a replacement wheel of course).

I think it's just the wheel and switch pack, the clock Spring is already in place. It will probably need enabling as well, annoying but not the end of the world if they sort you out Thumbs Up

And if they even dream of not fitting it use the R word liberally in conversation. Thumbs Up

The salesman is more than willing, just doesn't have the detailed know how, it was he that suggested we ask on here as it may be a bit quicker to get the answer!

So worst case scenario would be clock spring (anyone know part number or how to tell), steering wheel and switch pack (I'm assuming that is the actual heated wheel switch on the steering wheel?) and may need a tick box checking?

+1 I Thought even new replacement clock springs are the heated type.

So if all cas did happen to be the heated type, would it still need to be enabled?

spoke to the salesman again today, apparently the workshop aren't sure as its not something they normally do!

So they have a Landmark and a Graphite in stock and are going to try changing steering wheels using information I have learnt on here, hopefully I will get info back which I can share so others can use it.
