How to change Disco 4 headlight bulb

I have been searching high and low for help on this but couldn't find any. Just found a video showing how to take the grill off and then figured out the process for taking the headlamp unit out. Thought I'd post a step by step for people looking for help.

Firstly thank you to Advanced Factors for the swift delivery. I ordered yesterday and fitted today!!

Step one remove the grill. Push the four clips in on the top of the grill then hold the bottom of it and give it a yank. It pulls straight off.

Step two lift the clips either side of the headlamp unit. Mine required wd40 and a screw driver to lever them up. You have to line the holes up to allow the unit to pull out.

Step three disconnect the wiring that is connecting the unit to the vehicle

Step four take off the cap covering the bulb

Step five u clip the bulb and take the wire off.

Step six replace bulb then put the cap back on

Step seven reconnect the wiring and slide the unit back into place pushing the clips back down that you levered up.

Step eight replace the grill, line it up and pop the 4 clips back in then punch the bottom of the grill gently to pop the bottom back in.

Hope this helps someone and saves you some time. Took me longer looking for help than it did to do the change! I did both dipped bulbs even though only one had gone. The bulbs from Advanced Factors are a nice bright white!

Phillips extreme vision from AF is slightly better, but if you look at the Phillips website the life still isn't that long. Standard bulbs are about it for a long life I believe

Lol.....nothing like going through the whole process, clipping the front grill back on, about to close the bonnet and then realising that you still have the rubber cap from the rear of the bulb and headlight unit in front of you on the plastic engine cover............ Embarassed
