engine tapping
hi all
can any of you help me i have a tapping coming from the engine ? it runs fine but just tapping ? i did run low onoil the over week due to lose oil filter but that was sorted pretty quick ? i have had the injectors checked and they are all ok ?
was told there is a problem with cylinder 2 ????????????
has any one any ideas advise at all please

How much oil was lost, and how long was it run low? Did the warning light come on?My D3 Build Thread

Hi not sure how long as the wife was driving and I noticed the oil on the drive ? It hardly had any left in it but no warning light came on ?? It still runs and drives just tapping ?

It may very well be terminal if its still tapping away after refilling with oil...My D3 Build Thread

It's was not tapping at that point the tapping come on about 2 weeks later and still has oil to the max level on the dip stick ?

There is no oil level warning on the D3 so it is only when you run so low as to trigger the pressure warning will you get a light. The pressure warning light comes on at a scarily low pressure level, so not much help.
