| Help - whining noise steering wheel |

On my Discovery 3 when turning left and right I get a slight whining noise steering wheel doesn't seem to be jumping or anything else the noise does seem to disappear at speed over 30 miles an hour but you can really hear it when going around a roundabout I've been told it's a new transfer Box or bearings or front diff have actually jacked the car up and cannot hear any bearing noise or rumble I'm stuck totally any help would be great
