I have not used one but have two friends who use them and swear by them. I have seen my friends use them. Like all things there are pro and cons. I did make some enquiries and it seems you need an electric tyre pump (foot type a bit slow). You need to have a 12v supply so that you can connect the pump. It may well be that the side of the caravan is against a hedge and you cannot put the car along side. Need to consider the length of 12v cabling and air hose. I was,at first, very keen to get one (about £80 for one i.e. single axle) but on reflection have decided to stay with my made to measure aluminimum ramp and the motor mover.
Pssssssssssssssssssssst. Damn - not level any more.A vaccine does not stop you catching a virus, or passing it on, or getting ill from it, really ill. It does reduce the likelyhood of you dying when really, really ill. Stay Alive - KEEP AWAY FROM PEOPLE.

They seem well respected on the caravan talk forum - I'm seriously considering one for our TA. I've already got a T-Max compressor to use with it. We've also got a Kampa air awning with electric pump. I use the electric pump an emergency start battery pack (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Original-portable-...mp+starter) with on a full charge I recon would be fine to inflate a lock 'n' Level and then inflate the awning. The advantage of using the battery pack is is very portable & can be used where there isn't a convenient 12v supply

When you inflate it i take it you inflate it to the heighest then just let the air out to the height you want.

Hi I normally just pop the level on the caravan floor then set the pump off and just watch it level up it probable lifts around 5 to 6 inches just need to make sure you don't exceed the 30 psi I used for the past year and the highest it's got to is around 12 psi

Yes I have one and find it very good, need a decent air pump but as others have said put it on connect up pump and leave to inflate while you do other things. Is a bit fiddly when you first have a go but once you get used to it it works fine and is very good for putting Alko wheel locks on.
Yes I did make my own up to start with but brought one off a forum member.

What type of valve does it have, is it the same as a car tyre one, also do you think the air pump that you get with cars instead of a spare wheel would be ok, i know the pump isnt the greatest its a VW one. Thanks for the help.

I havent got one, but i believe you can drive along it until the lock lines up and then lift, instead of guessing with ramps etc. Could be wrong

The standard air pump for the car will be fine
It makes it easy to put both almost locks on as you line one up by driving on to the leveller and then close the crossover valve and inflate one side of the air bag leaving you free to turn the other wheel as soon as it clears the ground
