Newbie Caravaner
Hi,
I'm borrowing a tin tent from a friend for a week away next week. He showed me round it today and it seems to have everything apart from extension mirrors for the car. As I'm sure they are not all the same can anyone recommend ones that I can get to fit my Disco and then I will give them to him for his Freelander 1.
I have camping stuff up the eyeballs and have my own top tips on what to take.... but for caravaning...?
Thanks
Hoops

What electrics do you have and what does the van have in terms of 12n/s or euro 13 pin? May need adapter.
Assume he has chemicals for flush and toilet cassette? Gas bottle? Co and smoke detector? Aqua roll, connector hoses and waste master? Aqua roll handle
To roll it along?

I have black and grey sockets, and he has black and grey leads to be technical.
Gas bottles are new, though I do need toilet chemicals, which will pick up from go outdoors tomorrow with cheap mirrors. Aqua roll and handle all there as well as 40m of ehu cable. Not sure on the detectors. Will ask.
It's a twin axle and thankfully the site is quite open so reversing into the pitch should hopefully be quite easy. God bless google maps.

And don't forget when driving you've got a caravan on the back... So easy to forget especially how well the disco's tow...If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

Agreed - I tend to put a post-it on the dash with 'Horse Box' to remind me, although the twitchy passenger (and nag owner) is a good prompt...Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
