A good, reasonably priced hotel in Florence is:-

You need to speak to the hotel, but IIRC If you provide the hotel with your registration number & car details, (before you enter the city), they will register it with the authorities.

There are also street signs where you enter the zone.
I would recommend at least two night in Florence, great galleries & museums and
Florence is a great place to buy leather goods, and have some stunning meals!
SWMBO will love the city (but hide your credit cards).
On your way back you can fill up with cheap booze in Le Havre a large choice of outlets EXCEPT on Sundays when most open restricted hours (if at all), and generally close by 12:00 or 13:00.

Would like to do the same sort of trip myself when I get the time, only thing I would change is the booked sites, when I am able to do it I would just wander from location to location moving on when I felt the need. Enjoy

Why start another thread when you are updating the same topic started by you?  ...this why we have a merge function.

Wasn't the merging, it was moving the original post; I was asking for advice (as other 'trip' ones still on the OP'd section) but you moved it to 'camping' or whatever and it's got sod all since.
My next post was 'pointless' hence where it was posted.
I'm not seeking to get other threads merged for the sake of it, that's your role you seem capable of doing all on your own

It is as relevant as any other topic on the site and as any other will feature in the new posts list as well as the thread moving to the top of the forum category.
We don't just move things around for fun ..it's done to try and keep the site tidy and topics relevant and in their correct place.
