Looks great Stew, how do you carry it ?.... Does it fit in the trailer or in the D3...?

My RV5 is too big for my Sankey trailer so it goes in the D4 but its so long it ends up on the arm rest between the front seats..... I'm thinking of getting a basket so its on top of the disco.

How do you carry it around ?

Hope your well and enjoying the summer.

Mine (RV4) sits quite happily on the standard roof bars, though for next trip to sandy places it'll probably be sitting on top of an aluminium sand ladder.

Yes, he probably does......I'd forgotten about that bloody big space under the pod.

Mind you where would he then put his pasties and cider ?

I'm looking at basket options for the roof as it would give me a of of space back in the disco, when I'm using the RV5 instead of the Sankey/roof tent.

I saw some great roof baskets at the LRO show at Harrogate in May but they were great prices too. Big Cry

I believe ENT had some plans for a homemade basket, so I need to speak to him. Thumbs Up

Great pic Dave... So I guess I don't even need a basket, just straight on the roof bars ?

I imagine its just held on with bungee cords and possibly some sort of Lock ? Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up it fits in the trailer perfect Thumbs Up but I've now got a roof box long enough to fit it in so the roof box will be mounted on the trailer Thumbs Up so it can go on top , in or under the pod Rolling with laughter Thumbs Up

Thanks All,

Good to see the Cornish celebrating good old Kent oysters! Cheers!

Rather concerned about the wildlife escaping in photo 2 though.... Very Happy Very Happy

There's no big deal about using ordinary roof bars. The tent frame is plenty strong enough and I've done thousands of miles in that fashion.

I've only moved to using a roof box as it saves manhandling the tent when it gets wet and also provides easy storage for the multitude of other bags that make up the Oztent 'kit', which for us also includes a Tagalong.
