wobbly water in the tank - Globemaster
It's taken ages to work this out. I am so daft I even changed the trailer shocks before I realised.
When I trail to a site with the Globemaster tank full it tows great.
Use some water and then go somewhere else and it is terrible
Dump all the water and its fine.
So I surmise that the water tank is not baffled and the remaining water sloshes about changing the nose weight and making me sea sick. I have asked the question of Trek Overland but I dont think the know if the tank is supposed to be baffled or know of an answer if it isn't.
I have considered trying to cut a hatch in it and drop in some of those baffle balls but am concerned that the tank being small (75l) they might not work.
Anyone with a bright idea or someone that can make purpose made water tanks with proper baffles in them. I am amazed that no one has reported this before with the Globemaster!

Suppliers of components for kit cars might be a good place to look. Years ago a friend of mine built an AC Cobra replica and had a tank made that included a stainless mesh, like a giant brillo pad, as a baffle.
I am surprised that it's an issue though. Those trailers have been around for a long time now and I'm sure a problem like that wouldn't be tolerated in their native habitat. My old Desert Wolf certainly had baffled tanks as standard Darren

goody
I have found these chaps just around the corner, in fact I fly the heli over them just to annoy them and have asked them the question so we might have a solution after all.
Tank.me looks very good - I've made a note of them for future use.
Thanks Wiggs.
