Clock-on-dash gone AWOL --:--
Had the centre console in pieces to install a dashcam power supply and now the COD display just shows --:--. The normal clock is fine. Any advice on how to fix? Do I need to reflash the instrument pack again with my IID BT tool?
Many thanks.

Battery is probably low. You need to do a 'hard reset'

Yep, battery will be a bit low but as you have an IIDTool there is no need for a hard reset - just use the vehicle reset function.

The vehicle reset routine is used by JLR at the end of CCF edits and reprogramming just to tidy things up. GAP have made it a stand-alone feature that is great for sorting out nuisance issues such as this.

COD returns
Just to close the loop. Did a reset with the IID and all is well; COD is back. Thanks again.

As the clock is taken from the audio system, a simple change/adjust of the clock on the audio system will make the clock reapear.
At least this is how it works on FL2, where an hard reset also works, but adjusting clock is simpler.
In my experience, at least, that doesn't sort it on a D3, Alex. Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC

It has not worked for me either. I think the IPC misses the message that there is clock info available, times out, and does not attempt any further communication even when the routine or update messages are subsequently transmitted on the bus.
