Very low cost...
One better indication would be which workshop ?[/i] BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.

D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Depends what you mean by 'service', if it's just an oil change, then that is damned expensive.

As have slight oil leak under sub and driving to Spain with the family in a couple of weeks and worried that on a long journey oil will get very hot and thinner and leak out faster? All suggestions welcome
Thanks

Work shop is a friend of my mechanic that does GBoxes, I'm just a bit worried what else may be found once the job starts as already eating into our spending money.

If it involves a certain amount of dismantling and gasket / seal changing, and a complete oil change, then that price I'd say, is probably not excessive.....Providing they cure the leak.

If I was doing it - and I will be soon - I'd get this changed*:
http://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/tzv500010...6414-p.asp
but it is paramount the mechatronic unit isn't damaged when it is being changed.
* well, I would, because mine is leaking, but only 300ml in the last 18 months by the look of it. Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto
Grey 05 TDV6 HSE Auto (Gone)

Thanks Mickey, so does £480.00 sound about right parts and labour for the service of the gear box?
