2015 Rugby to Croatia
So each year SWMBO and I pick a country we'd like to visit and off we pop.
I don't do flying, I HATE all the crap that goes with it, the theatre that is airport security, parking etc. So we drive. To date we've driven to and around Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Poland, Germany (8 times), Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia and we also had an impromptu long weekend in Croatia - ok I wanted to visit the MIG factory under the mountain, but SWMBO did get to dip a toe in the sea before we came home.
All these trips were made in our trusty Mitsubishi Shogun Sport, sure it was noisy, uncomfortable, slow, noisy and uncomfortable but our 14 year old shed on wheels always got us there and back.
Now we have the D3 and this year our road trip is as follows:
UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and finally Croatia (for 5 days) then we return Croatia, B & H, Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium and finally home to the UK.
Planning will start on our return from Moscow in May (flying ) and I'll update the thread with route info, stop overs, and the places we plan to visit. A majority of the places we want to see are in Croatia but there's bound to be things to see on route.www.ratsnruins.co.uk

Necessities
So a little time on my hands this afternoon, I did think about firing up Google Earth and loading my KMZ's but want to go about planning this logically.
So my 1st action will be to have the old girl serviced thoroughly a little nearer the time.
2nd, What to take with regards spares. Yes I know it's Europe, but it's 1400 miles (without detours)
I've had a look through a few threads on here and although this might look like overkill:
Definate
Brake switch
Tyre repair kit
Jump leads
Tyre compressor/inflator
Fuses
Fan belt
Bulb kit
Duck tape
WD40
Cable ties
Assortment of small bolts, self tappers , plastic clips etc.
Socket set and ring spanner set
Oil filer cap and radiator cap
Jelly Babies, lots and lots of jelly babies
Obviously this is subject to change and if anyone has spotted anything I've missed then I'd appreciate your suggestions.www.ratsnruins.co.uk

I'm guessing it's either 1000 times more comprehensive or consists of a tin of WD40?www.ratsnruins.co.uk

Would not bother with MAF as the vehicle will run in default mode when disconnected. To many choices when it comes to hoses so stick with superglue, duct tape and clamps. As for pollen filter - dry your eyes princess; fuel filter only if you know diesel is bad and the air filter will last in Europe just fine.
I would not bother with belts, but would add EAS repair kit (connectors and some pipes), multimeter, some automotive wires and some crimps. Don't forget your hammer either.

We have modernised LR ownership a bit.
So don't leave home without this:
