Creaking front brakes?

Ive noticed recently that when I am in slow moving traffic, when applying the brakes there is a creaking/cracking noise coming from the front brakes. Ive even had pedaestrians giving me funny looks as Im edging forward and the brakes are snicking and creaking.

It almost sounds like the pads are moving about in the holders

Is this a common problem?

Also anyone know a good place around Aberdeenshire to geta TC replaced?

Creaking noise is most likely a glazed up pad surface, however not easy to cure I would just change the pads and discs. Whilst you are at it ensure that all of the caliper pistons are free and that the caliper sliders are in good order.

Hmm, its not long had new pads and discs... I am also getting brake judder. could the two things be interlinked I wonder!

I had kirkstyle garage in Kemnay look at it. spent a bomb on them stripping and cleaning the brakes and still not better.
