Too Landmark or not to Landmark. What would you do? |
|
Advice please and be gentle.
I have a 9.5MY SE Been happy with her, but egrs went this week, handbrake in November - Is this the start of emptying my bank account?
I have AA BRC and put what would have been warranty money in bank, so still up financially. (Thanks to advice from fellow members )
So called into dealer yesterday I was passing.
16 plater Landmark Yulong white - ervything on it except tow electrics, side steps and cubby fridge.
So all retro fit able- although the sales man said get an Indy to do it or do it yourself .
So not my preferred choice of colour - could be a to keep clean.
But otherwise an unbelievable piece of equipment- SWMBO liked it and preferred it to a FFRR and RRS 2.
She scoffed at a Disco Sport - saying it looked like a mid sized estate on big wheels - bit harsh I felt.
Here's the deal - he's reduced Landmark by 1500 straight away, offered me a deal of 14.5 k trade in and very reasonable finance package. Also told me to strip my car of light guards, mats , tow electrics, etc.
Am I jumping the gun, I'd planned on keeping my D3 for another 12-18 months before looking at D5 or used D4 - assuming there'd be some around.
But with it being the end of the month - I'm guessing he needs to hit targets so could play a little more hard ball.

Really is your choice,
D3 even with a few issues will be a lot less money spent! But if you Fancy a nice nearly new D4 Landmark and you can afford it then go for it!
I ran 2 D3's until a fortnight ago and have sold one and bought a MY16 D4 Lux, it's a massive step up in performance and you will love it! Stu

If the money side of works for you then I can't see why you wouldn't , but I ring round a few dealers to see if they will match the offered deal especially if they have a colour combo you prefer. Andy.

Once you drive the 3.0 you will be sold on it
Its just the depreciation that you have to be happy with as it will drop 10/15 k in those hassle free 2 years ...still a cheap car compared to a d5 and a 1000% better looking
I think the white looks great and tbh black is harder to keep looking clean MY05 SE D3 Manual my first LR what a car

A very late D4? The answer has to yes. Obviously!
What's the history on this one? Is it ex Land Rover Management (number plate starting with an "O")? Is it just pre-registered? Is it ex demo?
What would be your preferred colour(s)?

That's odd. Loire Blue was never on the confirurator or in the brochure and none has ever appeared as a used car on the Land Rover used car search engine.
Where did you find this information?

Cheers guys,
No I've had my head in a laptop working all afternoon.
It's on hold til tomorrow morning.
It's an ex- LandRover management car. OE16 HYZ
Not a blemish - that I could see.
If it were Waitomo - I'd have done the deal there and then.
Where SWMBO drives to work and potentially where we're moving too is always dirty - so guess whatever colour I'd Be cleaning it weekly or more anyhow.
The deal is on PCP something I've not done a for long time.
Always the way - changing the car was not an option this year and now
